Job summary

Amey is recruiting an Electrician to join the FM team at HMP Wakefield, carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs and testing across the site.

This role operates 39 hours per week with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and a 15% weekend allowance, plus free parking and on-site gym.

Qualifications

• Typical level 2 electrical qualification required.
• 18th Edition (17th Edition considered) advisable.
• Maintenance and fault-finding experience essential.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge required.
• Basic IT skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
• Fault finding and repairs, minor installations and testing.
• Electrical inspections to BS7671 standards.
• Ensure systems remain safe and compliant.
