Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract, on-site in the submarine refit complex. You will ensure quality during installation and commissioning, advise the project team, and liaise with contractors to resolve technical queries within contract timescales.

The role emphasizes electrical activity and requires site-based experience, health & safety awareness, and ability to support design improvements during construction.

Qualifications

• Electrical power experience preferred.
• 2+ years’ site-based experience.
• Confined space training or willingness to complete.
• Experience in electrical building services design (fire, lighting, PA, HVAC).
• Ability to advise designers and resolve on-site electrical issues.
• Understanding of H&S and Quality procedures.
• Experience related to submarine/refit projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of site quality by managing, advising, and witnessing installation and commissioning.
• Resolve site issues/technical queries with contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Scope of Works and Change Requests.
• Record inspections and ensure alignment with integrated test plans.
• Supervise and provide on-the-job guidance to junior staff.
• Support development and deployment of electrical solutions during construction.
