Job summary

LPI Group is seeking a QA Specialist to assure quality across projects. The role is on-site in Newcastle, UK, with travel to other UK projects likely in the future, requiring close collaboration with site teams, engineers and contractors to uphold quality control throughout project lifecycles.

You will develop SOPs, QAPs and ITPs, maintain records, and ensure documentation such as certifications and handovers are complete. Strong ISO knowledge and construction QA experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Quality assurance experience in the construction industry, ideally data centres.
• 3rd level qualification or equivalent in science or engineering preferred.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards and ISO certification.
• Solid understanding of construction standards, codes and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with engineers, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Experience using construction management platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, Dalux, EIDA Solutions, Procore).

Responsibilities

• Assist and support engineering and operational teams in meeting quality system requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits for compliance with project specs, standards and regulations.
• Monitor and document quality control activities across projects.
• Develop and draft SOPs and controlled documents.
• Create quality plans, ITPs and related documentation systems.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure their quality standards are met on site.
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing and audits on-site.
• Ensure documentation and handover certificates are complete and verified.
• Participate in project meetings to report quality issues and corrective actions.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed during inspections.
• Support continuous improvement of quality processes and protocols.
