Job summary

Man Power Connections Ltd in Aldridge is seeking Civils Operatives for a full-time, on-site role to support installation and maintenance of high and low voltage infrastructure. You will prepare sites, operate plant and tools, and assist with transformer and cable installations while complying with method statements and risk assessments.

You must follow health and safety regulations, keep a clean work area, report issues, and help meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering or utilities groundwork, including excavation, ducting, trenching, and reinstatement.
• Ability to read and follow basic site drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of on-site health and safety practices, including PPE use.
• CSCS card or CPCS/NPORS for plant operation (desirable).
• Experience around electrical infrastructure or power distribution (advantageous).
• Strong teamwork and communication; ability to work with site supervisors and technical staff.
• Reliable, punctual, able to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Full UK driving licence or reliable transport to Aldridge sites (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare sites and assist with civil works on high/low voltage projects.
• Operate plant and tools as required.
• Assist with transformer and cable installations and terminations.
• Follow method statements, risk assessments and safety rules.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and report site issues.
• Support project deadlines and liaise with site supervisors.
