Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd in Lancaster is seeking a part-time Care Assistant for Williamson Court to support residents in one location, providing domestic help and social activity support. This role requires empathy, reliability and a caring manner.

The position offers 22 hours per week with a pay rate of £13.26 per hour, on-site work, fully paid training (Level 2 or 3 in Adult Care) and access to pension, life insurance and wellbeing support. No travel between homes is needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Caring, dependable and passionate about supporting older adults.
• Location within commuting distance of the development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents with daily domestic tasks such as appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
• Assisting with social activities and wellbeing routines.
• Promoting independence, dignity and community engagement.
• Supporting with individual care packages.
