Job summary

Jones FM in Central London seeks an experienced Building Services Engineer to own a prestigious static site. You'll manage mechanical, electrical, and fabric systems on a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule, delivering planned maintenance and swift repairs while avoiding daily London commuting.

As the on-site technical lead, you'll work with building managers, tenant representatives, and contractors, ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in commercial building services maintenance (M&E).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and 18th Edition BS7671 desirable.
• Comfortable with basic Plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance alongside electrical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, and fabric systems.
• Leading on electrical fault finding, isolation, small works, and routine testing safely and efficiently.
• Acting as the face of the engineering team—building strong, professional relationships with building managers, tenant representatives, and external contractors.
• Escorting, overseeing, and approving work done by specialist sub-contractors on-site.
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations, statutory standards, and site logbooks.

Are you an experienced Building Services Engineer looking for stability, a predictable work-life balance, and no endless commuting across London?

We are looking for a sharp, multi-skilled engineer to take ownership of a prestigious static site in Central London. Operating standard day shifts (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm), you’ll be the go-to technical mind on-site, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and general building systems run smoothly.

Because this is a single static site, you’ll work closely with the tenant and building management teams. We need someone who is as skilled with client communication as they are with a multimeter.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Comfortable turning your hand to basic plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance alongside core electrical tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, a professional attitude, and the confidence to discuss technical issues directly with stakeholders.
• Ideally based within a reasonable commute to Central London.
