Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Backup / Storage Engineer to join our infrastructure services team in the UK. This role focuses on maintaining reliable backup and storage environments, monitoring operations, and proactively preventing issues.

The successful candidate will work with colleagues and vendors to resolve problems and ensure service availability. Candidates should have strong backup knowledge, experience with Veritas NetBackup (up to v11), and familiarity with enterprise storage like

Qualifications

• Backup and recovery technologies with emphasis on data protection and service continuity.
• Experience with Veritas NetBackup (up to v11).
• Knowledge of enterprise storage technologies, especially NetApp and Dell EMC.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily backup operations across 200+ servers to ensure successful backups and quick issue detection.
• Investigate and resolve backup failures, restoring normal service swiftly.
• Produce and review daily backup reports and follow up on failures.
