Job summary

Gazelle Global Consulting Limited is seeking an Infrastructure Backup and Storage Analyst to support enterprise backup, recovery and storage services. Hybrid role with three onsite days per week across Wokingham/ Warwick, UK.

You will manage Veritas NetBackup, SAN/NAS storage, and Dell PowerMax/HP StoreOnce infrastructure while ensuring data protection, service availability and disaster recovery readiness for core systems.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise backup environments
• Hands-on with NetBackup, StoreOnce or similar solutions
• Knowledge of DR planning and testing processes

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise backup solutions across the environment
• Configure, monitor and test backup/restore operations
• Administer SAN/NAS storage for servers and apps
• Support Dell PowerMax and HP StoreOnce infrastructure
• Monitor capacity, performance and expansion planning
• Maintain backup policies, schedules and retention
• Assist disaster recovery planning and restoration exercises
• Provide L2/L3 incident resolution and root cause analysis
• Maintain build docs, configurations and asset inventories
• Apply backup security and access controls per policy

Infrastructure Backup and Storage Analyst

Location: Wokingham/ Warwick, UK
Contract: Initial 6 months, with potential extension
Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week

Join a business-critical infrastructure team supporting enterprise backup, recovery and storage services. You will help maintain data protection, service availability and disaster recovery readiness across core infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

Manage and troubleshoot enterprise backup solutions, including Veritas NetBackup.

Configure and monitor backup and restore operations, investigate failures and perform recovery testing.

Administer SAN/NAS environments and provision storage for servers and applications.

Support Dell PowerMax 2000/8000 and HP StoreOnce infrastructure.

Monitor storage capacity, utilisation and performance, supporting expansion, migration and optimisation.

Maintain backup policies, schedules, retention requirements and tape rotation.

Support disaster recovery planning, restoration exercises and RTO/RPO objectives.

Provide L2/L3 technical support, resolve incidents and conduct root cause analysis.

Maintain build documentation, configuration records and asset inventories.

Apply backup security, encryption, access controls and compliance requirements.
