Job summary

Aberystwyth University is seeking a part-time Study Skills Tutor to aid students in developing independent study strategies within a higher education setting. The role is mainly on-campus, 9am–5pm during term-time, with possible small postgraduate support.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring using a learner-centred approach for neurodivergent learners.
• Good understanding of different learning styles and strengths neurodivergent students bring to learning.
• Familiarity with academic language and terminology; ability to develop study skills tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet allocated students regularly by appointment.
• Help students develop independent learning strategies and set goals/timescales.
• Improve academic reading, writing, comprehension and study planning.
• Support time management, organisation and deadline planning.
