Aberystwyth University seeks a Study Skills Tutor to help students develop effective study strategies in higher education, with emphasis on ASC, ADD/ADHD and SpLD. The role is mainly on-campus during term-time, with regular weekly meetings and a minimum caseload of eight students.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team to tailor support, set clear goals, and promote independent learning, with training and safeguarding checks in place.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring using a learner-centred, non-judgemental approach.
• Full term-time availability to support a minimum of 8 students.
• Awareness of neurodivergent learners and related strategies.

Responsabilités

• Meet allocated students regularly to identify barriers and create individual work plans.
• Help students develop organisation, time management and independent learning skills.
• Support writing assignments, exam preparation, and use of academic resources.
• Attend training, meetings and safeguarding duties; maintain records and confidentiality.
• Refer to other support services when needed.
