Job summary

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting On Call Firefighters to serve stations across Lancashire. Firefighters will respond to emergencies via pager and must live or work within a tight travel radius of the station, with extended proximity for certain locations.

Hours and stations vary; a DBS check is standard. Applicants should be prepared to attend pre-learning sessions if invited and may be assigned to different stations based on needs and available hours.

Qualifications

• Must be able to respond to emergencies when pager alerts you.
• Must live or work within 5–8 minutes travel time of the station (8 minutes for Preesall/Silverdale).
• Willingness to attend pre-learning evenings if shortlisted.
