Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician for on-site support at our Crewe data center facilities in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on hardware installation, cabling, and proactive maintenance to ensure reliable infrastructure operations.

The successful candidate will have hands-on data center experience, knowledge of server hardware and networking standards, and be able to lift equipment up to 25kg. Weekend/holiday availability may be required for urgent requests.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure.
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards.
• Reliable transport and proximity to local data centers; strong English communication.
• Ability to lift 25kg+ and flexible availability for urgent requests.

Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps).
• Server rack installation and decommissioning.
• Cross-connect and patch panel management.
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Visual inspections and inventory audits.
• Escort and access coordination for client visits.
• Emergency response and on-call availability.
