Job summary

Transport for Wales is recruiting a Premier Chef for Shrewsbury to deliver on-board catering for passengers. You will work independently or as part of a team to manage day-to-day dining experiences, including at-seat and buffet counter service.

You should hold a Level 2 chef qualification (or equivalent) and a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, with previous chef/catering experience and menu design skills. Welsh language skills are welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in catering environments.
• Ability to design and create menus for service.
• Hygiene and food safety knowledge aligned with Level 3 certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality on-board dining for Premier Service to passengers.
• Plan and execute menus, manage stock and report equipment defects.
• Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and staff to ensure top service.
• Monitor food safety, storage procedures and allergy considerations.
