Job summary

Randox Laboratories invites applications for an Oligonucleotide Synthesis Chemist to join the R&D team at Crumlin. The role focuses on synthesising oligonucleotides on automated platforms, followed by cleavage, deprotection and purification steps.

You will perform analytical QC using LC-MS, HPLC and capillary electrophoresis, prepare reagents, and contribute to ongoing lab development. A degree in a life-science field and strong analytical skills are required.

• Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or life-science.
• Strong analytical ability and interface between chemistry and biology.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize oligonucleotides on automated platforms.
• Perform cleavage and deprotection post-synthesis.
• Purify oligonucleotides via desalt, cartridge, and HPLC.
• Conduct QC using LC-MS, HPLC and CE.
• Prepare reagents and materials for synthesis, purification and QC.
• Contribute to lab procedure development and implementation.
• Troubleshoot synthesis/purification to improve yield and quality.
• Meet target timelines and collaborate with other teams.
