Job summary

We are Buchanan is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate in London’s Energy & Natural Resources practice. The role emphasizes oil & gas and infrastructure M&A with cross-border exposure; candidates should bring strong corporate transactional experience.

The successful candidate will manage complex deals, advise on acquisitions and joint ventures, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across Finance, Tax, Competition and Regulation. 3–5 PQE is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ PQE in corporate M&A with energy exposure.
• Strong drafting/negotiation skills and client handling.
• Experience in oil & gas or energy infrastructure deals.

Responsibilities

• Advise on public and private M&A transactions.
• Work on acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures.
• Handle energy asset and corporate transactions.
• Coordinate due diligence and transaction workstreams.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Regulation and Disputes teams.
