OH Medical is currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a leading Occupational Health provider as an on-site Team Leader in Warton, Preston.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and motivated Occupational Health professional ready to combine hands-on clinical practice with team leadership. You will manage and support the on-site clinical team while delivering a full Occupational Health remit for a major client.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting independent telephone and face-to-face medical assessments
Producing clear, evidence-based reports for referring managers
Undertaking Occupational Health case management
Completing health surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments
Issuing appropriate fitness certificates
Undertaking clinical triage and allocating new referrals appropriately
Providing professional advice to managers and employees
Managing, supporting and clinically supervising the on-site clinical team
Monitoring health surveillance escalations and providing clinical guidance
Supporting staff inductions, competency reviews, training and development
Conducting end-of-year appraisals for the clinical team
Maintaining a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture
Attending client meetings and delivering training where required
Working with administrative colleagues to maintain an appropriate skill mix and workload allocation
Ensuring clinical rooms meet the required standards
Maintaining equipment calibration records
Supporting the development and delivery of workplace wellbeing initiatives
Conducting drug and alcohol testing where appropriate
Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with company policies and professional standards
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Current NMC Part 1 registration
A postgraduate Occupational Health qualification or evidence that you are working towards one
Experience delivering the full Occupational Health remit
Strong case management and health surveillance experience
Previous managerial, supervisory or team leadership experience
A clear understanding of professional accountability and scope of practice
Up-to-date knowledge of Occupational Health legislation, clinical standards and best practice
Strong leadership, organisation and motivational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
A proactive, adaptable and self-motivated approach
Strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate clinical records
The ability to prioritise effectively and work well under pressure
Confidence working independently and collaboratively
Full rights to work in the UK without sponsorship
Strong health and safety knowledge would be advantageous.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8.00am and 6.00pm.
This is a fully on-site role based in Warton, Preston, PR4 1AX.
