Salary: Up to £65,000 + multiple bonus structures
Service Type: 2-bed Children’s Residential Home (SEBD & LD)
Provider: Family-run, new start-up home with an RI already in place

We are seeking an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a new children’s residential home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and full regulatory compliance. You’ll oversee daily operations, develop staff, manage resources, and create a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities for the Ofsted Registered Manager
  • Lead the full Ofsted registration process
  • Manage the home in line with regulations and best practice
  • Oversee safeguarding, care plans and risk assessments
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff
  • Maintain accurate records and regulatory compliance
  • Work with families, professionals and external agencies
  • Manage budgets and support inspection readiness
    Essential Requirements for the Ofsted Registered Manager
    • 2+ years’ residential childcare experience
    • 1+ year managing staff (within last 5 years)
    • Level 5 Residential Childcare (or working towards)
    • Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards & safeguarding
    • Effective leadership, communication and decision‑making skills
    • Experience of positive Ofsted outcomes
    • Understanding of trauma‑informed and therapeutic approaches
