Position Overview

Our client is seeking a talented Engineer fluent in Mandarin to support a new Offshore Wind project in the UK or EU. The role requires some experience in offshore wind structures and fluency in Mandarin.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide technical input on foundations throughout the project lifecycle, including managing offshore wind foundation design contracts.
• Engage with clients across Engineering, Construction, and Procurement teams.
• Write, review, and improve Employer’s Technical and Engineering Requirements.
• Review bidders’ technical proposals and participate in technical clarifications.
• Assist in design development clarifications.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in offshore wind engineering.
• Fluent in Mandarin.
• Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Desirable Experience

• Design engineering of monopiles or jackets.
• Experience with developers or EPCI contractors in offshore structures.
• Design of primary or secondary steel for offshore wind.
• Transportation and installation of offshore wind farm components.
• Loads analysis, especially offshore loading and dynamics of wind turbine foundations.
• Experience in owner’s engineering, package management, or contract management.
• Certifications from agencies like DNV-GL, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, etc.
• Knowledge of offshore wind foundation design practices.

Note: Fluency in Chinese and offshore wind engineering experience are essential.
