Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is looking for an Operations Engineer with a mechanical bias to support its offshore wind farm operations at the Port of Mostyn. You will help manage 160 x 3.6MW Siemens WTGs and oversee technical aspects of offshore structures and onshore facilities.

The role focuses on inspection campaigns, HSE, asset integrity and cost-effective delivery, with responsibility for budgets, specifications and engineering governance in partnership with site management.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified engineer with a background in power generation, offshore wind or heavy industry.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with understanding of electrical projects and asset management.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate complex engineering information and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work with specialists, contractors and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to Wind Farm operations, covering 160 x 3.6MW Siemens WTGs.
• Act as the operational technical lead for offshore WTG structures, drivetrain, blades and onshore facilities.
• Develop and manage inspection and maintenance campaigns focusing on HSE, asset integrity and cost delivery.
• Ensure engineering compliance with RWE Engineering Management Instructions and UK/EU standards.
• Assess, design and implement plant modifications using condition monitoring for safe operation.
• Act as delegated Contract Officer and Project Manager, managing budgets, specs and scopes.
• Support Offshore JUV operations with engineering guidance and client-facing support.
• Develop technical documentation, RAMS, QA processes and procedures using MS Office and CMMS.
