Job summary

Strategic Resources ERC Ltd places a highly skilled Training & Competency Advisor to support an Oil and Gas Operator. The role focuses on delivering efficient training and competence advisory services, maintaining up-to-date standards, procedures and systems while meeting UK legislation and client requirements.

The advisor will also act as contract owner for third-party training bookings and related service provisions, ensuring robust governance across all assets and the training function.

Qualifications

• Experience in training management within oil & gas or energy sectors.
• Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Facilitation, delivery and rollout of standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage training framework across assets and ensure competence assurance.
• Maintain assessment programmes for Safety Critical, Operational Critical and Technical training.
• Coordinate third-party training bookings and act as contract owner.
• Support transitions of apprentices into competency framework.
• Develop annual assurance programme for training across assets.
• Prepare training budget information and monitor spend.
