Job summary

UTEC, Acteon's Geo-services business line, seeks a Survey Engineer / Senior Survey Engineer - Offshore to support offshore operations. You will ensure safe, compliant engineering on site, configure equipment on vessels, and maintain calibration and certifications for survey gear.

The role involves travel offshore and international support, with possible onshore work from UTEC offices or workshops. Strong electronics or engineering background and offshore experience are essential.

Qualifications

Education in Electronics / Engineering.
2 years experience, including 200 offshore days as Survey Engineer Grade I.
Relevant industry or military/academic survey experience.

Responsibilities

Sensor pinout/wiring diagrams and interface equipment to survey vehicles and online system.
Understand electronic symbols and wiring principles.
Setup a dedicated survey network and interface survey sensors to online.
Set up video distribution on board vessels.
Troubleshoot and fault-find equipment with logical thinking.
Terminate cabling for interfacing, antenna, network, serial, video, and ROV sensors.
Create vessel wiring diagrams and setup notes in software.
Maintain, service and calibrate offshore survey equipment.
Operate software during offshore operations.
Conduct performance reviews of direct reports.
