Job summary

2H Offshore Engineering Limited is offering a 1-year placement for a student in Woking to assist in structural design and engineering for renewables and offshore oil & gas structures. You will perform calculations, dynamic analysis, and design activities from concept to detailed design, ensuring fatigue performance and meeting fabrication and in-service requirements.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Masters degree in engineering with a predicted 2:1 degree.
• Aptitude and enthusiasm for carrying out complex analytical work.
• Experience with MS Office and FEA packages preferable but not essential; training provided.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• FE Analysis of offshore structures using state-of-the-art software.
• Design of offshore structures from concept through to detailed design.
• Preparation of proposals and technical deliverables.
• Interfacing with clients through presentations and meetings.
