Job summary

SLPE is seeking an experienced Offshore Structural Engineer to join our London/Bristol based team. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum 3 days in the office.

You will design and analyse offshore substations and wind turbine components, using Sesam and Ansys, while mentoring juniors and coordinating with clients. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in offshore structures, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with offshore structures or marine experience preferred.
• Experience in wind/offsore structures and design projects.
• Proficiency in Sesam and Ansys software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise offshore substation and wind turbine designs.
• Perform structural analyses (ULS, FLS, SLS) and validation.
• Produce drawings and design reports with SLPE CAD team support.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients on technical requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
