Job summary

MacDermid Offshore Solutions in Wigan is seeking a Production Operative to join our Offshore fluids team. You will mix, blend and package water-based fluids, follow SOPs, handle materials up to 25kg, and maintain quality and safety standards on site.

Experience in chemical manufacturing and a forklift licence are preferred. You should read and understand written instructions, perform basic maths, and use Microsoft Office as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience working in a mixing/blending position.
• Functional Maths & English skills.
• Ability to read, understand & follow written instructions.
• Ability to complete basic subtraction, addition, multiplication & division.
• Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• Fork lift truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Mix and package products, focusing on Offshore water-based fluids.
• Follow SOPs and job specifications.
• Handle chemicals safely and in accordance with guidelines.
• Accurately measure, mix and batch chemicals.
• Package, label and seal containers to quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Conduct inspections, checks and calibrations of equipment and report faults.
