Job summary

Science Solutions Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Production Operator for a chemical manufacturer in Wigan. The role requires carrying out batch manufacture activities in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements, with opportunities for progression within the company.

You will follow Manufacturing Instructions, operate forklift duties, and have a working knowledge of chemical processes. A shift role with flexible hours is required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Following Manufacturing Instructions to operate batch manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Forklift Truck operations is required.
• Understanding of chemical processes is desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure batch manufacture activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
• Respond to corrective and preventive actions in a timely manner.
• Monitor raw materials requirements and inform supervisor when final products are ready for packaging.
• Carry out forklift duties as required.

Production Operator - Wigan

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all process and operational activities associated with batch manufacture are carried out in compliance to the sites Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements
• Respond to required corrective and preventive action in a timely manner.
• Monitoring of raw materials requirements and informing supervisor when finished products are suitably packaged for movement to the warehouse.
• FLT operator duties as required .

This list is not exhaustive and you will be expected to carry out additional duties where reasonable.

Requirements

• Ability to follow Manufacturing Instructions.
• Forklift Truck experience
• Understanding of chemical processes (desirable).
• Experience of working in a chemical / process type industry (desirable).
• Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes (desirable).
