Job summary

Our client in Westhill, Aberdeen, seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for an initial 3-month contract with potential to go permanent. You will maintain filtration and brine plant equipment, ensuring safe, compliant operations and readiness for offshore deployment.

Responsibilities include planned maintenance, system testing, documentation, and coordinating between warehouse and offshore teams. Offshore/auditing experience and mechanical qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
• Proficient troubleshooting and problem solving in industrial plants.
• Good organisational and record-keeping abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork with operations and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, modification, and repair of filtration and brine plant equipment.
• Assemble/disassemble mechanical equipment, conduct testing, calibration, and environmental screening.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities.
• Service diesel units to a high standard within required deadlines.
• Provide mechanical troubleshooting and technical support to operations teams.
• Ensure equipment certs for offshore use are up to date.
• Maintain maintenance reports, certification records, and documentation packs.
• Coordinate audits and prepare load-out and movement documentation.
• Maintain asset registers and stock of spare parts.
• Support ordering of materials and liaise with suppliers.
• Train staff on service, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Collaborate with offshore personnel during inspections and maintenance.
