DNV Germany Holding GmbH's Ocean Ecology team is seeking a Marine Field Scientist for a 3-6 month fixed-term contract to support environmental surveys across the UK and internationally. The role covers preparation, mobilisation, execution, and reporting of marine surveys for offshore renewable energy, infrastructure, monitoring, research, and licensing, with regular fieldwork away from home.

• Complete survey documentation and support Project Managers and the wider Survey Team with survey preparation and delivery activities.
• Prepare survey equipment, consumables, and documentation for field operations.
• Undertake nearshore, coastal, and offshore marine environmental surveys throughout the UK and overseas.
• Operate and support the maintenance, calibration, and general upkeep of survey equipment, including underwater camera systems, benthic sampling equipment, positioning systems, and water quality profilers.
• Report equipment defects, non-conformities, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure the safe collection, handling, storage, and return of environmental samples and survey data.
• Undertake seabed imagery review and analysis.
