Job summary

NES Fircroft, on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas operator, seeks Electrical Technicians for offshore teams in the UK North Sea. Initial 6 month PAYE contract with potential for long-term work and a Norwich mobilisation base.

Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12‑hour shifts. Requires offshore certifications, DBS check, and a time-served apprenticeship. Excellent opportunity to work with a major operator.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (onshore/offshore).
• CompEx Certification is essential.
• Valid BOSIET, MIST and Offshore Medical with no restrictions.
• Successful candidates will be required to obtain a basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on electrical equipment following PMRs in Maximo.
• Carry out EX maintenance on EX electrical equipment.
• Support weekly shift planning and attend wash-up meetings.
• Raise Work Control Certificates (WCCs) for non-routine tasks.
• Issue Isolation Control Certificates (ICCs) for tasks requiring isolation.
• Develop switching procedures for High Voltage systems.
• Execute HV and LV switching, including isolations.
• Respond to breakdowns and liaise with the Terminal Electrical Engineer.

NES Fircroft, on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas operator, is hiring experienced Electrical Technicians to join their offshore teams in the UK North Sea. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a major operator on an initial 6 monthPAYE contract with potential for long-term work.

Contract Details

• Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts
• Mobilisation Base: Norwich
• Pay Rates: PAYE

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on all electrical equipment following Preventative Maintenance Routines (PMRs) in Maximo.
• Conduct EX maintenance on all EX electrical equipment.
• Participate in weekly planning meetings to assist in planning the next shift.
• Attend and contribute to daily morning and evening wash-up meetings.
• Raise necessary Work Control Certificates (WCCs) for non-routine tasks, including level 2 WCCs.
• Issue and manage Isolation Control Certificates (ICCs) for electrical and other trade-specific tasks requiring isolation.
• Develop switching procedures for High Voltage (HV) systems.
• Execute HV and LV switching, including isolations and de-isolations.
• Respond to breakdowns as required and liaise with the Terminal Electrical Engineer to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid BOSIET, MIST, and Offshore Medical with no restrictions
• Must have a background in maintenance roles in the offshore Oil & Gas industry
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (onshore/offshore), including a time-served trade apprenticeship.
• CompEx Certification is essential.
• Successful candidates will be required to obtain a basic DBS check
