Job summary

Motive Offshore Group is seeking a Lead Equipment Operator to commission and lead offshore equipment operations globally. You will supervise Equipment Operators, collaborate with project managers and on/offshore teams, and ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and project requirements.

You will guide technical teams, perform diagnostics, and maintain accurate records while supporting continuous improvement in equipment performance and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with flex lay equipment (RDS, tensioners, carousel systems).
• Experience leading offshore and onshore operations.
• Hydraulic or mechanical trade background.
• Multiple years operating offshore machinery.
• Valid OEUK offshore medical certificate.
• OGUK survival or Seaman's certificate.
• Ability to work on own initiative and in a team.
• Ability to prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promote Motive People Values in daily tasks and decisions.
• Develop strong relations with clients and colleagues.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Equipment Operators.
• Supervise Equipment Operators when required.
• Ensure client satisfaction at all times on site.
• Liaise with client while on site and maintain rapport.
• Ensure safe, efficient mobilisation, installation and demobilisation of equipment.
• Prepare equipment on time to meet client requirements.
• Stocktake equipment and report anomalies or damage.
• Commission equipment and perform load tests per client needs.
• Operate equipment following client instructions and complete checks.
• Complete onsite paperwork and maintenance records.
• Submit DCSR sheets with times and observations for client approval.
• Demobilise equipment and prepare for shipping.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and rectify.
• Submit project paperwork and expenses promptly.
• Attend project briefings, inductions, and FATs when requested.
