Job summary

ODE Asset Management Limited (ODE) seeks an experienced Instrument & Controls Engineer to join the Asset Support Team in Great Yarmouth. You will support instrumentation and control systems across offshore gas installations and renewable assets, ensuring safety, integrity and reliability through lifecycle management.

Responsibilities include managing SBOMs and SIF loops, FAT participation, and coordinating modifications with operations.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience in Instrumentation, Control Systems or related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in instrumentation and control engineering within offshore gas production or similar environment.
• Strong working knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, maintenance and operational support.
• In-depth knowledge of IEC 61511 and functional safety principles.
• Knowledge of EEMUA 191 and EEMUA 201.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 and OG86 cybersecurity framework.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage modifications to asset instrumentation and control systems per Change procedures.
• Develop detailed scopes of work for design and cost estimation.
• Act as focal point for Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) loops and functional safety activities.
• Ensure drawings, documentation and records reflect current configurations.
• Review anomalies and implement remedial actions; support FAT and commissioning.
• Conduct offshore/site surveys and support maintenance, integrity and reliability programs.
• Support development of maintenance and integrity policies and annual work plans.
• Promote safe task execution, incident prevention and continuous improvement.
