Job summary

NES Fircroft are recruiting Instrumentation Technicians to support an Oil & Gas operator on offshore assets in the UK North Sea. This initial 6-month contract is highly likely to extend, with a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation and 12-hour shifts.

Mobilisation is from Norwich, with travel allowances and hotel accommodation if needed. The role involves maintenance and testing of instrumentation and safety-critical equipment, BOM management, and ensuring safe operations with Maximo work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in onshore or offshore Oil & Gas.
• COMPEX Time-served trade apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
• HNC qualification in a relevant subject.
• Valid BOSIET, MIST and offshore medical, with no restrictions.
• Previous experience maintaining instrumentation and safety-critical systems within an Oil & Gas environment.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-skilled team of technicians and operations personnel to safely operate and maintain offshore processing facilities in line with operational and maintenance procedures.
• Support plant availability and the safe, efficient processing of gas received from offshore fields.
• Plan and carry out preventative maintenance tasks to the required standards, minimising disruption to production.
• Complete maintenance work orders using Maximo and raise new work requests to report plant or equipment faults.
• Provide technical support for projects, working with vendors and subcontractors as required.
• Manage spares and test gases to support the testing and calibration of gas monitoring equipment.
• Carry out maintenance and testing of instrumentation and safety-critical equipment.
• Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and actively promote a positive safety culture at all times.
