Job summary

Fugro’s Field and Core Logging Engineer role in Wallingford combines onshore geotechnical lab work with offshore site investigations. You will log and test soil and rock samples, process data and contribute to project deliverables.

The position requires a degree in Civil Engineering or Geology, strong communication, willingness to travel offshore, and hands‑on accuracy with QA/QC. Training is provided to build expertise across ISO standards.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geology or related discipline.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Foundation-level understanding of soil and rock logging principles, with on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality geotechnical data by processing, logging and testing soil and rock samples.
• Support offshore site investigations with in‑situ testing and data recording.
• Ensure data is complete, accurate and ready for project deliverables.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, project managers and client representatives to meet objectives.
