Fugro’s Field and Core Logging Engineer role in Wallingford combines onshore geotechnical lab work with offshore site investigations. You will log and test soil and rock samples, process data and contribute to project deliverables.

If you enjoy hands‐on technical work, varied environments and the opportunity to grow your geotechnical expertise, this is an ideal opportunity to take your next step.**Your Role and Responsibilities****Expectations & Deliverables*** Deliver high‐quality geotechnical data by processing, logging and testing soil and rock samples in line with Fugro procedures and relevant standards (e.g., BS5930, Eurocode 7, ISO).* Support offshore site investigations by performing in‐situ testing, laboratory work and accurate data recording during shift-based operations.* Ensure all data whether logged, tested, processed or interpreted is complete, accurate and ready for integration into project deliverables.* Maintain high safety and quality standards, including compliance with QHSE procedures and RPE requirements where applicable.**Responsibilities*** Conduct core logging, basic geotechnical testing, thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity testing in both onshore and offshore settings.* Enter, process and validate data using spreadsheets and in‐house software such as GeODin and GERRIT, including calculations and QA/QC checks.* Assist in equipment calibration, maintenance and inventory, ensuring smooth operation of the logging facility and offshore lab.* Support training of team members and contribute to generation of project deliverables and reports.* Collaborate effectively across teams including laboratory staff, project managers, QHSE teams and client representatives to meet project objectives.**What You’ll Need to Thrive in This Role**We welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
