Job summary

Inch Cape Offshore Limited invites applications for a Foundation Engineer to maintain the structural integrity and lifecycle management of offshore wind turbine foundations and substructures during operations.

Based in Montrose with a hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days work-from-home, you will lead asset integrity, risk-based inspection strategies, and collaboration with O&M teams while ensuring ALARP compliance and alignment with UK standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Offshore or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven offshore wind foundations or offshore structures experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, fatigue and marine environments.
• Experience in asset integrity or O&M engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrity management of offshore foundations (monopiles & Jackets).
• Develop and implement risk-based inspection strategies.
• Analyse structural performance considering fatigue, corrosion, scour, and environmental loading.
• Support remaining life assessments and life extension strategies.
• Review inspection data (ROV, seabed surveys, NDT) and define remedial actions.
• Lead or support root cause investigations for structural anomalies or failures.
• Define and optimise planned and corrective maintenance programmes for foundations.
• Support offshore campaigns including inspection scopes, method statements, and contractor management.
• Provide engineering input into major component replacement or structural repair campaigns.
• Ensure all maintenance activities align with O&M plans, consent conditions, and environmental commitments.
• Act as Technical Authority for foundation systems within the asset.
• Interface with certification bodies and independent verification engineers (IVBs).
• Review and approve engineering change proposals and concessions.
