Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work with Energy on NOWZ - Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone - NR11 6LS. A day in the life covers valuations, cost reporting, subcontract management, change control, and final accounts.

You will join a business with extensive in‑house expertise and a track record in EPC and energy projects across multiple countries. Ideal candidates will have proven commercial experience, RICS/ICES registration with chartership progress, and knowledge of standard

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a Commercial role i.e., Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, or a similar role.
• Registered with RICS / ICES and working towards chartership.
• Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract, NEC preferable together with Standard Methods of Measurement

Responsibilities

• Aid in internal commercial reporting and other required reports.
• Prepare valuations/applications for payment with full documentation per contract.
• Control cost reports to the client with contractually compliant documentation.
• Prepare and manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
• Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts from requisitions to final accounts.
• Undertake contract administration including change management and maintain registers.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
• Use cost allocation/coding satisfying internal and external requirements.
• Measure quantities per standard methods of measurement.
• Assist in preparation of project final accounts.
• Draft subcontracts including professional services.
