Job summary

Hornbeck Offshore is seeking an Electro Technician Officer (ETO) to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair shipboard electrical, electronic, and power management systems. The ETO reports to the Chief Engineer, oversees engineering crew, coordinates with clients and subcontractors, and ensures compliance with SMS, Code of Conduct, and company policies.

Candidates must hold flag state credentials, a valid passport, English language proficiency, and relevant technician training; offshore

Qualifications

• Valid flag state credentials for service as ETO on the vessel route and class.
• Passport is highly preferred.
• Training certificates as Electrical and/or Electronic Technician from a recognized authority.
• Ability to read and write English and follow commands in English.
• Minimum six months experience on vessels of similar size or in similar industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety and environmental protection policies of the Company.
• Ensure safe operation of each ship and maintain liaison with ashore and on-board stakeholders.
• Supervise engineering crew, vendors, and sub-contractors.
• Monitor optimization of electrical and electronic systems and resources.
