Job summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Offshore Competency Assessor to join our client on an initial 6-9 month rotational contract, mobilising out of Dyce, Aberdeen. Agency Worker / PAYE

The role involves assessing and verifying offshore personnel’s technical, operational and safety competence, supporting the ongoing delivery and improvement of the organisation’s Competence Assurance System. You will work with training teams and supervisors to ensure records are accurate.

Qualifications

• Recognised Workplace Assessor qualification.
• Offshore competency assessment experience.
• Valid BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS.
• Valid OEUK Medical.
• Valid MIST.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured competency assessments for offshore personnel.
• Evaluate technical knowledge, practical skills and operational performance against defined standards.
• Identify competency gaps and support development plans.
• Provide constructive feedback, coaching and guidance.
• Work closely with training teams, operational managers and supervisors.
• Maintain accurate competency records and assessment documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of the Competence Assurance System.
• Ensure alignment with OPITO, IADC and HSE standards.
