Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson seeks a Cable Project Engineer for a major offshore wind project in the UK. You will lead and review underground cable designs, perform current rating calculations using CYMCAP, and support development across multiple project phases.

Working within multi-disciplinary teams, you will manage interfaces, ensure safety by design, and promote compliance with CDM, ESQCR, and industry standards. A relevant engineering degree and Chartered status (or progress) are preferred, with HV

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartered status.
• Experience with Transmission Network and high voltage cables.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of CDM & ESQCR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide cable engineering support by producing/reviewing outline cable designs and current rating calculations (CYMCAP).
• Support the project lifecycle from design development to commissioning and completion of complex projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to identify and mitigate technical and quality risks, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Develop technical scopes and specifications for underground cable projects and asset modifications.
• Promote safety by design and ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and ESQCR.
