Salary: £30,800 per annum, plus company benefits, plus monthly on call allowance up to £100 per month

Location: London, city

Contract: Full Time

Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, working shifts between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm with one hour’s unpaid lunch

Williams Lea employs nearly 7,000 people worldwide, providing efficient business services at client sites in often complex and highly regulated environments, from centralized Williams Lea onshore facilities to offshore locations.

Purpose of role

The Office Services Operator is responsible for providing proactive on-site office support to legal fee earners within this law firm in the heart of the city. This includes duties such as reprographics, print administration, customer service, and mailroom management.

Key responsibilities
  • Scan, print, and copy documents for clients, ensuring quality checks and correct delivery.
  • Handle incoming mail: sort, scan, and email to relevant departments.
  • Manage outgoing mail via Franking/Royal Mail.
  • Book and handle incoming couriers efficiently.
  • Build relationships with clients, managing their expectations by proactively supporting their needs.
  • Support colleagues and work as part of a team to achieve optimal results for clients.
  • Follow departmental procedures.
  • Assist with stationery management: check stock levels, record items for reordering.
  • Participate in rotating weekend on-call service.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Personal attributes
  • A proactive attitude, including floor walking to support fee earners.
  • Good PC skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience in Post room and Reprographics.
  • Ability to think outside the box and make decisions in the absence of the Team Leader or Senior Operator.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations appropriately.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Team player, personable, willing to help out wherever needed.
