16 hours per week, across at least 4 days a week, pattern by agreement
Be at the operational heart of parish church and its role as a key community venue. We are an established part of local life in the Pitshanger area of Ealing, offering an inclusive church worshipping community and a lively hub for local residents. The church has a reputation for regular concerts and for professional recordings, we run a weekly Memory Cafe and Food Pantry, and our beautifully appointed Halls are hired through the week to local businesses and organisations for all age groups. Working as part of a friendly team of volunteers and paid staff, you will be responsible for: managing all bookings for our halls and church, acting as the first point of contact, and scheduling our bookings calendar for shared use; using our cloud-based accounting platform to manage invoices and payments, both in-bound and out-bound, and to keep day-to-day records for our efficient year-end financial reporting; working with our Ministry Team to support our worship life in practical ways and being a welcoming presence for everyone who contacts our office; assisting our Premises Manager in the admin side of our site, licences and maintenance records. This is a much-valued role, and definitely at the heart of almost all parts of St Barnabas!
The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME) and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
