Job summary
Elite Personnel are recruiting for a Technical Catering Engineer (Office Based) in Birmingham. You will provide telephone-based support to diagnose faults and guide customers, arranging on-site visits where needed.
The role is mainly office-based with occasional site visits and a company vehicle is provided. Qualified Gas Safe Engineer with electrical qualifications and experience in commercial catering equipment is required.
Qualifications
- Qualified Gas Safe Engineer.
- Electrical qualifications and experience.
- Experience with commercial catering equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with equipment including refrigeration, cooking, and catering appliances.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Good IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities
- Taking inbound calls from customers with faults or breakdowns.
- Diagnosing issues over the telephone.
- Guiding customers through troubleshooting steps remotely.
- Arranging site visits when required.
- Occasional on-site support at customer locations.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and service information.
- Coordinating with engineers and internal teams for swift resolutions.
