Office and HR Administrator — Full time, 37.5 hours per week, based in Nottingham NG7.

As a rapidly expanding business, no two days are the same. Our team members often wear multiple hats, so we need an experienced administrator to fulfill both Office and HR roles.

Joining us at this growth stage means you will significantly impact our future success. You will utilize your administration and HR experience and will be supported to develop your skills further to navigate the challenges of a growing business.

As a small but expanding company, HR tasks will initially take up part of your time. You will also provide administrative support for daily office operations and assist our CEO and Board chairman, enabling them to focus on key business milestones. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with industry leaders and rapidly enhance your skills and knowledge.

To succeed, you should be detail-oriented, professional, maintain confidentiality and integrity, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Managing daily office operations, including answering the main phone line, maintaining office supplies, welcoming visitors, and overseeing contractors (cleaning, workwear, etc.).
  • Providing administrative support to the executive team and business, such as calendar management, travel arrangements, facilitating Board meetings, handling correspondence, preparing documents, and general office duties.
  • Serving as the company's Data Protection Officer for GDPR compliance.
  • Being the first point of contact for employee HR and administrative issues, including answering questions about remuneration and benefits, advising on HR policies, and participating in disciplinary procedures.
  • Handling day-to-day HR administration, updating records, liaising with staff and management, delivering policy updates, and managing statutory documents.
  • Liaising with external HR stakeholders, such as legal advisors and recruiters.
Requirements:
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Confident decision-making abilities.
  • Relevant experience in HR support within a business context (CIPD qualification is a plus but not essential).
  • Experience in reviewing, editing, and drafting company policies.
  • Knowledge of employment law and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reside within a commutable distance from NG7 Nottingham.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
