Your First Step into an Office Career
Office Junior | Northampton | £27,000 | Permanent
Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm
Are you looking for your first proper job and want to start building a career?
Maybe you've recently finished school, college or university and you're not sure what you want to do next. Or perhaps you're working somewhere that doesn't offer much opportunity to progress.
This could be a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of an established and growing business, learn new skills and build a career from the ground up.
We’re looking for a bright, organised and reliable person to join the office team as an Office Junior.
You don’t need years of experience. In fact, previous office experience isn’t essential.
You’ll be given full training and will work alongside an experienced team, learning how the business operates and gradually taking on more responsibility.
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. The aim is to give you the training and experience to develop into a much more senior role over time.
We’re more interested in you and your attitude than how much experience you have.
Reliable - you turn up, get stuck in and do what you say you’ll do.
Organised - you like keeping things in order and don’t mind working with paperwork and systems.
Switched on - you’re willing to ask questions, learn and take responsibility.
Personable - you’re comfortable speaking to different people and working as part of a team.
Ambitious - you’re looking for somewhere you can learn, develop and build a career.
This isn’t designed to be a job where you’re doing the same basic admin forever.
As you learn the business, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility, particularly around health & safety and compliance, with the potential to progress further within the wider group.
You’ll also gain experience across administration, business processes, compliance, facilities and coordination - giving you a strong foundation for a long-term career.
You’ll receive full training from day one.
Part of the initial training will take place at the company’s parent company site in Buxton, so you’ll need a full UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling and staying away overnight when required.
All reasonable expenses will be covered during the training period.
