Job summary

London Borough of Lambeth is seeking an experienced Organisational Development and Inclusion Consultant to drive practical OD work across a large, diverse council.

You will partner with senior leaders to diagnose issues, design interventions and embed equity, diversity and inclusion into everyday workforce practice. This hands-on role leads major change programmes and uses data to demonstrate impact.

Qualifications

• Strong OD and/or HR experience in a complex organisation.
• Experience working with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence change.

About the Team

HR and Organisational Development is at the heart of how Lambeth supports its workforce, develops its people and delivers change. Our work brings together three connected areas:

Together, we provide an integrated people service that supports the Council perform at its best, manage change and navigate change and build a fair, inclusive and sustainable workforce.

About the Role

Shape how Lambeth works. Drive inclusion. Deliver real change. We are looking for an experienced OD & Inclusion Consultant who can turn strategy into action and make a visible difference to how we lead, work and serve our communities.

You will:

• Partner with leaders to diagnose issues and deliver practical OD solutions
• Design and lead interventions that improve leadership, culture and performance
• Drive inclusion by embedding EDI in day-to-day workforce practice
• Support major change programmes across the council
• Use insight and data to shape decisions and track impact

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role—you will lead, not just advise.

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:

• Strong OD and/or HR experience in a complex organisation, with evidence of delivering practical workforce, culture or inclusion improvements.
• Experience working confidently with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence change, shape solutions and support delivery.
• Ability to diagnose organisational issues, design effective OD interventions and follow them through to measurable outcomes.
• A clear commitment to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion into workforce practice, decision-making and organisational culture.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach, using insight and data to inform decisions, prioritise activity and track impact.
