Job summary

Lambeth Council in London is seeking a SEND/Inclusion School Improvement Advisor on a fixed-term contract to lead improvement strategies across schools, focusing on vulnerable learners and inclusion.

The role reports to senior leadership and involves working with headteachers, governors and partners to secure better outcomes for children and young people. Starting salaries range from £86,994 to £91,157 per year, with annual increments and progression.

• Provide strategic leadership, challenge and support to schools to improve educational outcomes, strengthen leadership and governance, and secure high-quality provision for all children and young people.
• Lead and quality assure school improvement activity across Lambeth, with a particular focus on vulnerable schools, inclusion and SEND, educational standards, attendance and outcomes.
• Analyse performance and risk information to inform targeted intervention, facilitate effective partnership working across education and wider services, and contribute to the development, delivery and continuous improvement of the Lambeth school improvement offer.
• Support schools to achieve sustainable improvement through early intervention, capacity building, training, monitoring and robust accountability, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
