Job summary

WR Logistics, based near Totton in Southampton, is seeking an Ocean Import Operator to manage end-to-end deep-sea import operations. The role offers a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 and a Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm schedule.

You will liaise with overseas agents, complete customs clearances, prepare invoices, and provide quotes. Candidates should have 1–3 years in ocean freight operations and preferably experience with Cargowise.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in ocean freight operations in import or export.
• Experience with Cargowise software is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Complete deep-sea import operations from start to finish.
• Provide first-rate customer service, delivering the full life cycle of the import process.
• Provide rates and quotes (LCL/FCL).
• Create bookings from origin for LCL & FCL import shipments.
• Liaise with overseas agents, hauliers, shipping lines and customers directly.
• Complete customs clearances for all import shipments.
• Produce commercial invoices.
