Job summary

Job description

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client's logistics challenges.

The Ocean Import Coordinator is responsible for the processing of import shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. Performs duties related to import documentation review and customs release coordination affecting timely delivery. Logistic coordination, included deliveries and distribution.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
  • Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities.
  • Provide excellent and timely client service by informing the client of the status of their shipment(s).
  • Coordinate sea freight, release operations, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.
  • Dispatch deliveries with truckers.
  • Coordinate warehousing operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in freight forwarding.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
