Devon Partnership Trust's The Brook is seeking an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor to support adults with learning disability and autistic adults during inpatient admission. You will plan and deliver delegated OT activities under supervision, helping people build skills, confidence and independence.

As an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor (OTTI) at The Brook, you will be a key member of the Occupational Therapy team, supporting adults with a learning disability and autistic adults during their inpatient admission.
Working under the supervision of Occupational Therapists, you will use practical, technical and creative skills to plan and deliver person-centred therapeutic activities and delegated OT interventions. You will support people to develop skills, confidence and independence in areas that matter to them, including daily living, routines, meaningful activity, sensory regulation, community participation and preparation for discharge.
A key part of the role is building positive therapeutic relationships and finding creative ways to support engagement. You will observe how people respond to activities, adapt your approach to meet individual communication, sensory and support needs, and provide feedback to Occupational Therapists to help evaluate and develop interventions.
You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, families and care providers, and may model approaches and practical strategies to others.
