You will support the acute stroke rehabilitation team, providing essential therapy treatments and interventions to patients in a dynamic healthcare environment. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the A-rated Stroke Unit at Wycombe Hospital as an Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker supporting the acute stroke rehabilitation team and rehabilitating patients. The post will suit independent, motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic staff who wish to work as part of the dynamic Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams.
You will undertake therapy treatments and interventions on the Stroke and sometimes Medical wards, and occasionally in a patient's own home, as identified by the Therapists to facilitate transfer or discharge. Previous experience working in Therapy and treating patients within hospital or community settings with falls, medical, or neurological conditions is necessary. The Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams operate a seven-day therapy service, including weekends. This post is not suitable for qualified Therapists.
Successful candidates will receive full training for the role, along with regular training, supervision, and appraisal.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A DBS check will be required to ensure suitability for the role.
Salary: £24,625 to £25,674 per annum, pro-rata.
