Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is recruiting an Occupational Therapy Lead to manage and mentor a team of practitioners within the Adult Social Care Reablement Service. The role focuses on overseeing complex caseloads and driving service improvements in a busy county setting.

The successful candidate will lead line management, supervision, audits, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high professional standards and safeguarding compliance. Office-based with county-wide travel.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required and Occupational Therapy qualification
• Significant post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care or statutory services
• Previous supervision/mentoring/management experience
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Care Act and Mental Capacity Act

Rate: £33.28ph Umbrella (£25.82ph PAYE)

Contract: 6 Months

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week

Working Pattern: Office-Based

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapy Lead to join Gloucestershire County Council's Adult Social Care Reablement Service.

This is an excellent leadership opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist looking to take the next step in their career, supporting practitioners, driving service improvement and overseeing complex casework within a busy Adult Social Care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Line management, supervision and mentoring of Occupational Therapists and practitioners
• Providing support and oversight for complex and high-risk cases
• Conducting practice audits and ensuring professional standards are maintained
• Championing strengths-based practice and independence-focused interventions
• Contributing to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Adult Social Care

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registration and recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
• Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care or statutory services
• Previous supervision, mentoring or management experience
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
